Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit axenta.at, for what purpose and on which legal basis, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller
Axenta GmbH, Lange Gasse 65, 1080 Vienna, Austria. Phone +43 1 412 00 62, email office@axenta.at. All further details are in the legal notice.
In short
- Fonts and images are served by axenta.at itself. When a page loads, your browser makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party.
- Without your consent, this website sets no cookies and loads nothing from Google.
- We use Google Ads only with your consent.
- We use no analytics tools such as Google Analytics and no embedded social media content.
Server log files
The website is served by a web server we operate, rented from Contabo GmbH (Welfenstraße 22, 81541 München, Germany). For every request it stores in server log files: your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the status code, the amount of data transferred, the page you came from (referrer) and your browser’s identifier (user agent).
We need this data to run the website securely and reliably and to detect errors or attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not combine it with other data, and we delete it after 14 days.
Fonts
The fonts on this website (Cormorant Garamond and Outfit) are stored on our own server and loaded from there. No request goes to Google Fonts or any other font provider, and no data is passed to third parties for them.
Settings in your browser
This website sets no cookies of its own. It keeps only the following entries in your browser’s storage, which hold your settings or which the page itself needs:
ax-consent(localStorage): your choice in the cookie banner, so that we do not ask again on every visit.ax-motion(localStorage): your “Reduce motion” setting, if you change it.ax-i(sessionStorage): records that the opening animation has already played in this tab. The entry is deleted when you close the tab.ax-place(sessionStorage): when you leave a page with an animated scene, records where you were (the page path and scroll position), so that after reloading the page or going back in your browser you continue at the same place. The entry is deleted when you close the tab.
These entries stay in your browser and are not sent to us. They are strictly necessary for the functions you ask for (§ 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act, TKG 2021). You can delete them at any time in your browser’s settings.
Contact form and enquiry form
When you write to us through the contact form, your browser sends what you enter (name, email address, phone number if given, topic and message) to our own server. It delivers it as an email to our mailbox through the email delivery service Resend of Plus Five Five, Inc. (USA). Resend sends our emails through servers in the EU (Ireland); as a US company, Resend may also process data in the USA. For this, according to Resend, it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). The Resend privacy policy applies.
The enquiry form that our ads lead to also sends your answers as an email through our server and Resend. Before that, you confirm your phone number with a code by text message: our server passes the number to the text message provider smstools (smstools.com), which delivers the code. According to smstools, its servers are in Europe.
We use this information only to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible offer. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Service providers who process data on our behalf
These service providers process data for us:
- Contabo GmbH, Welfenstraße 22, 81541 München, Germany: hosting for this website and for our server, which requests the confirmation code and forwards the forms.
- Plus Five Five, Inc. (“Resend”), USA: delivering the contact form and the enquiry form as email, through servers in the EU (Ireland).
- smstools (smstools.com): delivering the confirmation code by text message, on servers in Europe.
Google Ads, only with your consent
We run ads through Google Ads, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To measure whether an enquiry came from an ad (conversion tracking), we use the Google tag (gtag.js), but only with your consent.
For this we use Google Consent Mode v2: before any other script runs, every consent signal is set to “denied”. Only when you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner or allow “Marketing (Google Ads)” does the website load the Google tag. Google may then set cookies, attribute your enquiry through the contact or enquiry form to an ad, and personalise ads. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, through “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page or right here. More in Google’s privacy policy.
Links to other websites
Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Maps, Google Play, the websites of our products and those of our clients are only linked from this website, not embedded. Only when you follow such a link does that provider process data, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as its purpose requires. We delete server log files after 14 days. We keep enquiries while we handle them and while a resulting business relationship lasts, and beyond that only where the law requires us to retain them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
- withdraw consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise them, write to office@axenta.at. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde): Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
Changes
When the website or the services it uses change, we update this policy. The version with the date shown above applies.
